while coming from Copenhagen, will be get off the train in Malmö Syd/Svagerstorp or in Malmö Central Station?
thanks..
Hi,
We are visiting Malmö this weekend and have questions:
1) Is there any combination of Malmö Card and Öresund Rundt ticket or both of them have to be bought?
2) Going to stay at Hilton Malmö City located at Triangeln and the shuttle bus from the airport has a stop with the same name. Is it just a coincidence or can we get off there to reach the hotel?
Thanks.
Do the trains/buses offer a pass for frequent travel between Malmo-Copenhagen, i.e. 10 trips for 500 kr?
Hi Jeff.
You can buy a discountcard at the local train and bus office Skånetrafiken.
Read more about it here:
http://www.skanetrafiken.se/templates/InformationPage.aspx?id=13848&epsl...
/Matida
Hi Kraloyn,
Unfortunately there is no combination of Malmö Card and Öresund Rund ticket, you can buy the Malmö Card at the Tourist office and the Öresund Runt ticket at Skånetrafiken.
It is correct that the shuttle bus will stop outside the Hilton Hotel.
Hope you have a nice stay in Malmö.

Or another option near to the Öresund!

Hello
We will arrive at Malmo airport, and are going to spend the first two days in Copenhagen, and the second two days in Malmo. Is there any combination ticket or card which is valid in that area? Maybe we will also go up till Helsingborg.

Hi there! I'd like to know if it's possible to get across the Öresund bridge by bike. If so how much does it cost to use the bridge?
Hi, me and my girlfriend would want to move to Malmö from September. She will attend the University of Copenhagen but we like Malmö way better than Copenhagen. Also the rent prices seem better. Is there a monthly subscription from a student registered in Denmark, but living in Sweden that could bring down the transportation price to a lower level. It will be journey to be made 20 days/month and 400-500 euros for train tickets it's a lot. Any change to get this at around 100 euros? Thank you very much.
Hi Adrian,
If you contact Skånetrafiken: www.skanetrafiken.se. They will have the information that you ask about.
You can also contact us at the Touristinformation at +46 40 34 12 00.

Hello!
My husband and I will be staying in Malmo for a three-day visit this coming August and we'll be staying at the Scandic Hotel Malmo.
We are planning on making a day visit to the city of Copenhagen by bus (999). We would really appreciate it if you could tell us what's the nearest bus stop from the hotel? Also, if this is the same stop that we have to alight coming back from Copenhagen? How much is the return ticket for this bus?
Thanks and hoping to hear from you soon.
Hi Janette,
The nearest bus stop is at Gustav Adolfs Torg and is the same when you are coming back.
A return ticket cost 150 SEK.
Here is the timetable: http://www.graahundbus.dk/9-plan.htm

Hi,
I am planning to stay in Malmo (coming from Goteborg) for couple of days. Spend a day in Malmo (using Malmo city card) and do a day trip to Copenhagen. I will be staying in Ibis hotel @ Stadiongatan 21. Third day I will be off to Rostock. Here are my questions:
1. Ibis hotel area: Is it safe ?
2. Can I use the two free parking that comes with the city card at a nearby municipal parking lot ?
3. For train to Copenhagen (from Malmo): Is there any discount using the Malmo card ? IF so then how much ? It is for roundtrip for 2 persons.
4. Is there any discount for the car toll on the Øresund bridge ?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Allan!
Im gonna try to answer all of your questions:
First of all, the area around Ibis is a calm and safe area. It is right between the city center and a very nice living area. You also have a big nice park just next to you.
The nearest parking place where you can use your City card is at Södervärn. But you should count on a good 15 minute walk between this parking place and your hotel. At least. Although Ibis also have parking places to offer!
The City card doesnt give you any discount on neither the trian nor toll to get over the bridge.
Hope you´ll have a pleasant stay!
Michael
Which bus number going from central station Malmo to the Ibis hotel and what called bus stop near hotel?
It is possible to buy Around the Sound card in the airport and use this card to get from airport to the hotel?
Many thanks!
Hi Elena
You can take bus number 2 from the Centralstation in direction of Lindängen and get of at the stop called Mobilia, and then its 7 minutes walk to the hotel.
If you contact DSB first http://www.dsbfirst.dk/, they will know if you can buy the around the sound ticket in Copenhagen.
Have a great stay in Malmö.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your answers! One last question:
I read somewhere about 20% discount on 999 (?) bus to Copenhagen R/T with Malmo citicard. Is this true ?
Thanks,
Allan
Hi Allan!
I dont think you have any discount on trips with the City card.
Although you can buy the Malmö card (not the city card) and this card gives you free access to the city buses for 24 or 48 hours, depending on what card you buy.
Hi,
My family is taking a cruise in August out of Copenhagen Malmo port. Considering that the port is in Malmo, we were thinking of staying in Malmo but was surprise that Malmo is part of Sweden? Is Malmo a shared city between Sweden and Denmark?
Since we need a schengen visa, I wonder if the Danish embassy will allow us to stay in Malmo pre-cruise since our port of entry is Denmark.
Help?
Sadie
Hi Sadie!
Malmö is a Swedish town but has a long and interesting history which also include being Danish during a long period of time. But since the 17:th century it has been Swedish.
If you look at the webpage of the Schengen visa you will see that Sweden is also included:
http://www.schengenvisa.cc/
If you have any more questions regarding the Schengen Visa or are still a little unsure, I recomend that you contact them at: info@schengenvisa.cc
Best of luck and I wish you a pleasant stay!

I will be arriving at the Malmo airport on Tuesday around 5 pm. I booked hotel downtown Copenhagen. What is the most economical way to travel between Malmo airport and Copenhagen? If I buy return ticket(s) will they still be valid on Saturday on my way back to the Malmo airport?
Hello Slavomir
You take the airportbus http://www.flygbussarna.se/default.aspx?lang=EN
from Malmö Airprt to Malmö Centralstation and then you take the train to Copenhagen.
No you can´t use the return ticket on Saturday, it´s only valid for 24 hours.

Hi,
I was wondering about the 'around the sound ticket' as I will be in Copenhagen and want to travel across to Sweden. It says as well as the circular trip up to helsingborg, the ticket is valid on Copnhagen metropolitan transport, and in all trains in Skane- does this mean I could travel from Malmo to Ystad for a few hour detour on this ticket, or would we need to buy an additional ticket to the 'around the sound' one.
Thanks!
Hi Jenny,
You can make as many stops as you like, the only condition is that you cross the bridge (Öresundsbron) in one direction and take the Scandlines ferry between Helsingborg and Helsingör in the other direction.

Hi!
I would be flying into Copenhagen Kastrup Airport and as I have 10 hours to tour the area. I would like to do a round trip in the following order: Take the Swebus from Copenhagen Kastrup Airport to Malmo across the Öresund bridge Swebus -> tour around Malmo for a few hours, before taking the train to Helsingborg -> take the ferry from Helsingborg to Helsingor -> from Helsingor, take the train back to the Kastrup train station.
Would the Öresund Rundt ticket cover all the transport that I have described? Otherwise which part of the journey would it not cover? Does the starting and ending point of this journey have to be Malmo Centralstation? Or Malmo Svävarterm? Where can I buy this ticket? And does it include the buses within Malmo?
Many thanks!
Hi Christina,
The Öresund runt ticket will not cover the transport with Swebus, but if you take the train from Copenhagen to Malmö and the other trips you will take, then you can use the Öresund Ticket.
You can buy this ticket in Malmö at the Central Station, if I were you I would contact Skånetrafiken and ask if they sell it in Copenhagen:

Hi Cas Lucky!
There are shuttle buses from Malmö Airport to Malmö C and from Malmö I recommend the train that depart every 20 minutes to Copenhagen.
Some of Malmö's high lights are fx the Western Harbour with Turning Torso, the old, medieval part of the city with Lilla Torg and it's cafés, bars and restaurants. If you´re interested in art I can recommend Moderna Museet and Malmö Konsthall. You can also visit our tourist office for more information about what to see and do in Malmö. Welcome!

Hi, I will be in Malmo for a three day visit. I would like to know if I can buy a 72 hour ticket at Kastrup airport which covers the journey to/from the airport & Malmo city transport? I can't find any information on where to buy single bus tickets, as I will be taking only 4 short bus trips within Malmo during my stay. I will not be sightseeing, as I am there for an event, so a Malmo card is not an option. Can I buy single bus tickets in advance from Central Station? Many thanks!
Hi, there is no 72 hours tickets for journeys between Malmö and Copenhagen airport. A singel ticket to Malmö C from Copenhagen airport is 105 SEK, you can buy the ticket at the airport.
You can´t buy singel ticket for the buses, you can buy a 24 or 72 hours ticket for Malmö. The prices is 65 SEK / 165 SEK.

Hello we will be visiting Copenhagen on a cruise on September 10 of this year but we would like to visit Malmo, we would be at FRIHAVNEN 245/FLEX TERMINAL
KLUBIENSVEJ-ORIENTKAJ ROAD
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK
how far are we from the train to Malmo, or a direct bust to Malmo, and if by train where do we get off in Malmo, which station. We will be In Copenhagen from 6 AM to 6 PM. We are also in Copenhagen overnight on August 29 but unfortunately we are not able to find any of the guided tours on that day, only on August 28 or August 30. This is why we decided to try to tackle Malmo on our own. Thank you

Hello,
I will arrive on saturday and leave on sunday.
My plan from the Airport (Malmo) to the Center:
Airportshuttle to Svedala (35kr) and from Svedala station to Malmo C with
"Pagatag". Is the 24h ticket (Malmö and surrounding zones) cover the trip from Svedala? Then it's 65kr. So from the airport, in the city and to the airport = 35 + 65 + 35= 135kr...
How easy to find the "Pagatag" in Svedala? (Same station as Shuttle Bus? )
Hi Andras,
unfortunately the 24 hr ticket doesn't cover Svedala so I would recommend you to go with the shuttle buses from the Airport to Malmö. For time table and prices see www.flygbussarna.nu

I plan to travel from Malmö C to Copenhagen and return the next day. Can I just buy two 105 SEK tickets by cash at the Malmö station and use the 2nd ticket directly when I board the return train in Copenhagen?

Hi, I am visiting Copenhagen for the weekend over Easter and plan to take a day trip to Malmo (by train) on Saturday 7th April. I will have two children with me, boys of 4 and 5. Do you have any recommendations for places we can visit that are close to the train station that you think would be suitable for the boys? And any recommendations for lunch/dinner (if we stay into the evening)
Hi Elaine,
I can recommend Malmöhus Castle, Scandinavia´s oldest surviving renaissance castle featuring local history, archaeology and an aquarium. Nearby you will have Teknikens och Sjöfartens Hus, exciting hsitory, machines and engines, experimental section and a real submarine. www.malmo.se/museer
In the castle garden you will also have Slottsträdgårdens Café.
Located about 10 min walk from the train station.
A boat trip through the canals and under the bridges of Malmö, an opportunity to see Malmö from another side. There is a café serving bastry, pancakes with jam and whipped cream..
Located close to the train station.
Casa Mia, a nice italian restaurant located at Stortorget,
T.G.I Friday´s Lilla Torg, and Gozzip, Skomakaregatan Lilla Torg.
These restaurants are located about 5 min from the train station.
Welcome to visit Malmö! /Tina Malmö Turism

Good evening.
I will be arriving at Malmo airport on Saturday evening, 26th May around 20:00. I am travelling with my parents and we are planning to spend a day or two in Malmo and a day or two in Copenhagen but we have not finalised whether we will stay in Malmo at the end of thetrip or at the beginning. I would like to know, approximately, how much a taxi for 4 people would cost from the airport at that time of night to the centre of Copenhagen. Also, how much would one cost to the centre of Malmo.
Thank you very much for your assistance with this.
Marguerite
Good morning, the price for a taxi from Malmö airport to the center of Malmö 389 SEK and from Malmö Airport to the center of Copenhagen 1239 SEK according to the taxicompany Taxi 97 in Malmö.
If you want a taxi to Copenhagen it could be a good idé to order a taxi in advance at phone +46-40 979797 or bokning@taxi97.se

Hello, Is the Eurail Denmark - Sweden Pass cover the transport of the "Around the Sound"?
I will go to Copenhagen --> Hillerød --> Hillerød --> Helsingør --> Malmö
Hello, We cant tell you if it´s cover the danish part, we recomend you to contact DSB www.dsb.dk for more information.
Unfortunately the Eurorail pass dosen´t cover the trip from Helsingör to Malmö. You cant use your Eurorail pass the localtrains, Skånetrafiken.

Hello! Me and my husband are going to Malmo for a few days in May-June, and we want to go to Copenhagen by train, and return the same day, also on the train. What ticket we will be right and profitable to buy - "Single fares Öresund "of 105 SEK per one-way, or "Duo/Family", or "Around the Sound" (can we use it for return travel by train?)
Do I need to somehow activate the ticket when boarding the train, how to do it?
Hi Sofia,
I think the best option for you is to buy a family/duo-ticket. You can do that in machines at the station or at the local trainoffice, Skånetrafiken.
"Around the sound" is only possible to use in one direction, wich means you need to take the ferry from Helsingör one direction and the bridge the other.
Welcome to Malmö!
Best regards,
Jessica
And one else question - We're leaving from Malmo on June 3. The first bus to the airport (flygbussarna) at 9.30. How can we get to the airport earlier this time?
Thanks!
Hi again!
If the shuttle buses doesen´t run then I´m afraid you need to take a taxi. The price is approx. 350 sek
