There are plenty opportunities to travel and make excursions in Scania by Skånetrafiken buses and trains. Regional trains will take you quickly to Ystad, Simrishamn, Lund, Höör, Kristianstad, Landskrona, Helsingborg and Ängelholm. County buses connects the towns that do not have rail service. For larger municipalities, it is usually half hour or hour traffic. The short distances makes the trips fast, for example, Malmö-Lund takes fifteen minutes by train.

Tickets are purchased in vending machines at the station or on board the bus. If you buy a ticket on the train, you pay an extra fee. If you Want to make your travel cheaper you can get Skånetrafiken discount card (JoJo card)  that is charged with at least 200 kronor. It offers 20% discount on all journeys. The card is available on the bus or on Skånetrafiken customer centers (located at Malmö Central Station) where you can also get help if you have any questions. Skånetrafiken also offers a 24 / 72 h tickets for travlling in Skåne. The price is 195 sek / 395 sek. The tickets can be bought at Skånetrafikens custumer centers.
