I plan to stay one month in Malmo and i want to park on the streets. What's the cheapest way in doing that ?
Is there a monthly "park pass" i can buy ?
Hi Emanuel,
The best way for you is to contact PMalmö +46 40 605 69 00 http://www.pmalmo.se
/Matilda
Hi Matilda,I've been looking at PMalmo site before i asked here, but the lack of English version got me stuck and that's why i asked here.
How do the locals pay/park in order to save on costs ?

Hello,
I am quite unsure where to buy a bus-ticket. Is it still possible to buy a single ticket for the city bus in stores or do I have to buy that $§"§$%&- Jojo Card. We just need to get from central station to our hotel and back the other day and are not so eager to pay SEK 200 for the tiny trip! ;-)
Thanks in advance,
Henning
Hi Henning!
Yes, you can still buy single tickets, but not on the bus.
For complete information and help I recomend that you contact Skånetrafiken: 0046-771 77 77 77.
You will find their office inside the central station in Malmö
Their opening hours are:

Hallo, do you know is there are large lockers for big suitcases in MAlmo train station?
Hi Lavinia!
The lockers at the central station are quite big. I would say that a typical "big" suitcase would go in. Although they are not long enough for skeeing equipment for example.
Best of luck!
Michael
Hello!
Are there any guarded car parks in the city centre? We're going to stay for one day only so we'd like to leave our car somewhere convenient and go sightseeing :) What pirce range should we expect?
Hi Patrycja!
I can recommend a garage located in the city centre called P-huset Anna, at Kaptensgatan 1. The price is 20sek/hour.
I hope you will have a pleasant visit in Malmö!
Best regards
Jessica
How cool of you to offer advise here!
My friend and I are arriving by ferry (Finnlines) in Malmö, a terminal at Lappögatan.
As I understand there is a bus stop Hamsögatan near, but we can't buy a ticket there so we'll have to use a cab to get to our hotel (Scandic Malmö City, Kaptensgatan 1)?
I see a cab company mentioned above at +46-40-232323, but I'd much rather use public transport (staying green was a main reason for traeling by ferry...)
I've learned from a friend we pay with Maestro card on the bus, just not cash.
Hi Dirk,
The public transport network for Norra Hamnen in under development. You can take bus 35 from the Central station in the direction of Östra Hamnen, get off at Aspögatan and then walk about 4 km by foot to Lappögatan or Bus 34 in direction of Norra Hamnen get of at Hemsögatan and walk about 1,5 km by foot to Lappögatan.
More info at http://www.skanetrafiken.se/Templates/StartPage.aspx?id=16125&epslanguag...
There is no cash or credit card on the buses, read here how to get a ticket:

Therefore I would be happy if you could contact me at victor.eriksson@cityskane.se for a short mail intervivew. Thank you!
Hello! I am staying in Malmö for business, but the client I need to visit is in Landskrona. What is the best way to get from Malmö to Landskrona other than driving a car? I do not have an international driver's license. Many thanks for your help!
Hi
The easiest way to Landskrona is to go by train. It takes about 40 minutes. Take the train from Malmö Central Station and get off at Landskrona station.
You can buy tickets before you go on the train, either the machine or on Skånetrafikens MCC.
You can use the same tain-ticket on the bus in Landskrona.
/Linda

Hi, I am visiting Copenhagen between the 27th to the 30th December and plan a day out in Malmo via train - does the train stop at Malmo, by all the shops/cafe's in the city, or do I get off the train and have some distance to go to reach the city?
Thanks
Hi Trev, Take the train to Malmö C ( Malmö Centralstation). Malmö C is in the city center it´s just a few minutes walk to the pedestrian street.
Welcome to Malmö!

Hi, I will be flying from Malmo Airport on 12 of February at 7 in the morning. Since I am living near Aarhus, Denmark, I have to travel 4 hours from where I live to Malmo and than take a bus or anything else to get to the airport.
As you can see 12 of February is Sunday and I am wondering if there are any buses available either Saturday very late or Sunday very early, around 4 in the morning.
Some advises please.
Thanks

Hello.
We will be in Copenhagen while my husband is working in Denmark, the week of March 5th 2012 and would love to visit Malmo during our visit. From what I have read, there are no guided tours from Copenhagen during March. I think they begin in the warmer weather. My question is: if we take the train from Copenhagen, are there any tour companies in Malmo that could give us a few hours of a guided tour? It will be 2 adults and 1 child. If so, I would like to be able to set it up before we leave the US. We would like to go on a Saturday or Sunday. Thanks for the help. We are excited to visit Sweden for the first time.
Hello,
Unfortunately started the guidide sightseeing tours in the end of March. But you are welcome to visit our Tourist office, opposite the railway station. We will be happy to help you and suggest a walking tour by your self.
Welcome to Malmö! / Marie Malmö Turism
I 'll arrive from Copenhagen to central station of Malmo by train.

Mirco

Hello, assume I stay in a hotel in the road Segesvängen.
What do I have to do in order to take the bus to the city and back? The only thing I am sure about is that I can not pay in the bus.
Matth
Hello, If you stay at Scandic Segevång you have to buy a travel card /jo jo card or a 24 h busscard in advance. The closest place to buy the jo jo card is at Coop Konsum at Kirsebergs torg , 1,5 km from the hotel.
If you have the possibility the easiest is if you visit the Centralstation in Malmö first, there can you find Skånetrafikens ( local bus service) service center.
More information about Skånetrafiken and the jo jo card / travel card see http://www.skanetrafiken.se/Templates/StartPage.aspx?id=16125&epslanguag...
Best regards Marie Malmö Turism
Sorry, the other option is:
Take the car, park on the main market, put the credit card in the automat, press the desired time, get the ticket and put it on the dashboard. DONE.
So with buying tickets in advance the bus is no option.
Skånetrafiken should really consider to accept some kind of payment on the bus. Let it be a common credit card with a surcharge, so the driver does not have to handle cash. If the hotels would sell tickets - OK also.
Matth
Hello, maybe a alternative if you arrive with car is to drive via Coop Konum at Kirsebergs Torg and by a Jo Jo card. Kirsebergs torg is almost on the way to the hotel. At Kirsebergs Torg can you find free parking places just outside the store.
Scandic Segevång dosen´t sell the tickets, please tell the reception. If a lots a people ask for the buscard the might start sell the 24 hours card!
We will send our correspondence to Skånetrafiken for their information and your comments.
Best regards Marie Malmö Turism
"Scandic Segevång dosen´t sell the tickets, please tell the reception. If a lots a people ask for the buscard the might start sell the 24 hours card!"
I did this, of course.
"We will send our correspondence to Skånetrafiken for their information and your comments."
This was the intention for my first post.
Thanks a lot.

Hello,
We will be traveling to Malmo late july this year, for two weeks. My question is: is there a one day (or something like that) tour bus/ guided tour/ guided trip from Malmo, across the Oresund Brige, to Copenhagen? I was reading about such a tour/trip, but leaving from Copenhagen to Malmo (http://www.viator.com/tours/Copenhagen/Sweden-Day-Trip-from-Copenhagen/d...); so I was wondering if there is something like this in Malmo (leaving from and returning to).
Thank You, Oana.
Hello Oana, Welcome to Malmö.
Unfortunately is there no guider tours from Malmö to Copenhagen, but you have trains running every 20:e minutes to Copenhagen.

Hi i have just moved to sweden and i have not yet register (most of the parkings ask for persona number). My car is arriving tomorrow (earlier than expected) and i have no idea where to park it in malmo. i have booked a garage to my building but it starts on 15th. Hello, you have to take the Airport Coach from Malmö Airport to Södervärn in Malmö. At Södervärn you have to change to bus line 3 in direction Värnhem. To the busstop Celsiusgården and then walk 300m. But the problem is that you cant buy the busticket in the citybus, bus 3. If you have a swedish mobilephone you can buy a sms ticket.
For Airport coach timetable see www.flygbussarna.se and information about sms ticket www.skanetrafiken.se.

Hello,
is there any possibility to travel between Malmö and Copenhagen by ship? Better even to take the car with (=ferry)? I remember having read sth. but can't find it again.
Many thanks for your help in advance,
Maren
Hello, there is no ferry/ ship to Copenhagen anymore. You can travel with car via the Öresund bridge or with the train if you don´t want to bring your car to Copenhagen.
The price for driving over the bridge is: 375 Sek one way and the price for the train one way 105 sek. Timetabel for the train see www.skanetrafiken.se.
Best regards Marie Malmö Turism
I recall travelling across the Öresund in 2000 by ship when the bridge just 1 or 2 days before the bridge was opened. The company which operated the ship gave us a return ticket for the price of a one-way ticket because they were about to die.

Hi
I want to know if Malmö Sväverterm is too far away from Malmö Central Station?
Regards,
Sara
Hi Sara! Malmö Svävarterminal is located 400 m from Malmö Centralstation. Best regards Marie Malmö Turism
According to http://www.skanetrafiken.se/templates/InformationPage.aspx?id=13744&epsl... , Skånetraffiken bus drivers do no longer accept cash. However, as I understand that web site, it's still possible to buy tickets from the bus driver but that requires some other form of payment.
Now this page here says that bus drivers wouldn't sell tickets at all.
Now, if I want to take the bus in Malmö, what shall I do?
I can't pay with cash, that's clear. They accept neither kronor nor Euros.
I can't pay using my phone because their SMS ticket service doesn't work with foreign subscriptions.
So... Can I pay with a foreign debit card? Last time I tried to use my German debit card abroad (that was at a fast food place in Malmö) I got a "card not accepted" error.
So what shall I do when I'm in Malmö and I need a simple one-way bus ticket?
Well, I just read in another comment that if my journey begins at Central Station I can buy a bus ticket at a ticket counter in the station building. But what if it begins somewhere else where I don't have that option? Are there stripe tickets for several (e.g. 4 to 6) journeys that I can buy in advance so I could get back from the hotel to the station?
Hello, you can only buy singel tickets from Skånetrafikens customer Service centers locatad at the Centralstation and at Triangeln, Rådmansgatan.
Alternetiv is to buy a Jo Jo card http://www.skanetrafiken.se/templates/InformationPage.aspx?id=13848&epsl... . You can buy the JoJo card at the shops / agents Konsum, Pressbyrån and 7-eleven.
24 h / 72 h is also a alternative http://www.skanetrafiken.se/templates/InformationPage.aspx?id=31728&epsl....

Hello, the easiest way is to take the train from Copenhagen C ( Kobenhavn H) to Malmö C and from Malmö C bus 144 to Östra Grevie see Skånetrafikens homepage for the travel planner http://www.reseplaneraren.skanetrafiken.se/querypage_adv.aspx?language=en
