Malmö Classic

MalmöMilen (running), MalmöSimmet (swimming) and Malmö Velo Classic (cycling) – if you are looking for an exciting challenge, why not enter the Malmö Classic event?

To achieve the title of 'MalmöKlassiker', you have to complete the individual events MalmöMilen (running), MalmöSimmet (swimming) and Malmö Velo Classic (cycling) all in the same year. You can even choose the distance – everyone who goes their chosen distance in all these events earns the title of 'MalmöKlassiker'.

The 2012 Malmö Classic season starts with a running race, MalmöMilen, on 16th June. This is followed on 21st July by a swim, MalmöSimmet, where you can choose to swim either 1,000 or 2,000 metres at the Scaniabadet bathing area at Malmö's Western Harbour. That just leaves the cycling event, Malmö Velo Classic, which takes place on 8th September, starting and finishing at Husie IP. You can choose to cycle 75 or 120 km. All distances qualify for the Malmö Classic event!

There is no need to enter the Malmö Classic, simply take part in the races. When you register for the final race – Malmö Velo Classic – please be sure to indicate that you are taking part in the overall Malmö Classic event and enter your earlier OCR reference numbers. This makes it easy to organise tops and times in advance. You can still do this afterwards, but it makes it a lot easier if you register direct via Malmö Velo Classic.

Top 25%
Those who finish in the top quartile (top 25%) in each individual competition (male and female) will receive a special top and diploma. The distance you choose to swim and cycle has no impact as far as the Top 25% competition is concerned, so it is worth pushing that little bit harder to become a Top 25% 'MalmöKlassiker'!
