Tutankhamun - his tomb and his treasures is a unique, educational and entertaining exhibition that allows visitors to experience the tomb and its treasures just as they were, and to take part of the magical moment of the discovery as if they had been there themselves. In September 2012 the exhibition will open in Malmö Expo Center.

In 1922, the archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the burial chambers of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh king Tutankhamun and since then the story of his life and reign has kept fascinating people.

The Tutankhamun exhibition shows the world’s only museum-quality replica of mankind’s most fascinating tomb and its treasures. For the first time, after 90 years it offers the opportunity to visit the tomb three-dimensionally in its original state. More than 1,000 crafted replicas, approved by renowned Egyptologists, and original photos and films from the time of the excavation are featured in the exhibition.

The Tutankhamun exhibition has become a success around the world wherever it has been shown. In 2012 the exhibition will be featured at Malmö Expo Center from September 15 til February 17 2013.

Facts
•    The exhibition covers 4000 square meters, including a reconstruction of the tomb and over 1,000 replicas of the treasures found in the tomb of Tutankhamun.
•    The exhibition is produced by Semmel Concerts in Germany in cooperation with some of the most renowned Egyptologist in the world. In Sweden the exhibition is a coproduction with Julius Production in Malmö.
•    Malmö Expo Center is adjacent to Malmö Arena and the City Tunnel Station in Hyllie, Malmö’s new development area.
•    From the city centre you will reach Hyllie in only 3 minutes by train and Copenhagen Airport in12 minutes.
