Sweden has won Eurovision on four previous occasions: in 1974 with ABBA and “Waterloo”, 1984 with Herreys and “Diggi-loo, Diggi-ley”, 1991 with Carola and “Fångad av en stormvind”, and 1999 with Charlotte Perrelli and “Take Me To Your Heaven”. Malmö hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992 after Carola’s victory.
